The Stables, Chesters
Planning approval is anticipated in the spring of 2016 to convert this grade II listed building into holiday let accommodation. This dramatic building was designed as stabling with groom's accommodation around a courtyard.
Many fine original equestrian features have been retained, particularly the interiors: glazed bricks, timber wall linings, stable stalls, etc.
The design respects the essential character of the building. Unsightly extensions and accretions will be removed. The newly created holiday accommodation absorbs the equestrian artefacts to create attractive interiors.
