This redundant church was converted into a holiday home. The architectural integrity of the listed building had to be respected.
The design inserted a mezzanine floor throughout the nave, retaining the sanctuary in its full height. The lower floor was divided into bedrooms. The upper floor created a generous open space for kitchen, dining area and leisure area.
The sanctuary forms a more intimate lounge. It has proved to be very popular with holiday makers. The scheme include the installation of a wood pellet fired district heating system which also provided heat to the surrounding properties.
